Who we are

OliType is made by Bishop Technology Solutions, LLC, an Arizona company ("we"). By downloading or using OliType, you agree to these terms.

The free trial

Every feature is free for 30 days from the first time you open OliType. After that, dictation pauses until you enter a license key. Your history, vocabulary, and settings stay on your Mac either way.

Buying a license

  • OliType is sold through Polar, the merchant of record, which handles payment, receipts, and sales tax. Your card statement shows Polar. Polar's own terms also apply to your purchase.
  • A license is a one-time purchase: $19 for 1 Mac, or $29 for up to 3 Macs. Prices may change, but never for something you already bought.
  • Education licenses ($9, 1 Mac) are for students currently enrolled at a school, college, or university, and for K-12 teachers and college or university faculty. Email us from your school address; no school address? Email us anyway and we'll work it out. Your license keeps working after you graduate or change jobs.
  • Buying for a team or business? Email us about bulk licenses.

What your license lets you do

  • Use OliType on as many of your Macs as your key covers, for personal or work use, for as long as you like. Each license is for one person.
  • Move it to a new Mac any time: choose Remove License from This Mac in Settings > License on the old one. If that Mac is lost or broken, use the link in your receipt email or write to us.
  • Every update to OliType is free, and your license never expires. If we ever make a paid successor, it will be a separate app under a new name, and your copy of OliType keeps working.

You may not share or resell your key, or copy, modify, or reverse engineer OliType, except where the law allows it anyway. OliType uses open models and libraries under their own licenses; see the credits.

Refunds

Because you can try every feature free before buying, all sales are final. This doesn't affect any rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.

No warranty

We work hard to make OliType reliable, but it is provided "as is." Speech recognition and AI cleanup can make mistakes, so read your words before you send them (OliType never sends anything for you). To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for OliType.

Privacy

What you say stays on your Mac. The privacy page explains exactly what is stored, and where.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and changes never take away a license you bought. These terms are governed by the laws of Arizona, USA.
